Past Players & Supporters luncheon

Great day at the club yesterday, well done to all involved in getting the Past Players & Supporters luncheon together.

Following on from the success of last years gathering, yesterday was a great opportunity to reconnect with so many past associates of the club ranging from many different eras!

Looking forward to next years luncheon which will feature the 20 year reunion of the 1996 Senior/Reserves premiership double.

Round 10: Double Win!

A 31 point win and 5 goals from Aaron Kinghorn had the boys celebrating. It was a crowded circle for the twos boys as they chalked up their first win for the season!

A fast start from the seniors allowed them to also win with a 6 point victory.…

Vale ; Barry Cuskelly

The club was saddened by the passing on Sunday of our foundation President, Barry Cuskelly.

Barry served as President from 1981-83 and was a tireless worker in leading and getting the club up and running. This huge task was accomplished in a mere 2-3 months!

In addition to being a major contributor to the clubs early success, Barry’s stated goals for the clubs survival were ; Flood lights on the bottom oval , Joining the VAFA, separate training and social …

We travelled out to JT Packer Park in Carnegie to play Glen Eira who were thus far winless in season 2015. Round 3 Match Report

After a terrific opening game and win in Round 2 against UHS-VU the club was looking forward to recently promoted D4 premiers West Brunswick at home. The game didn’t exactly start as planned with the Magpies racing out of the blocks and controlling much of the first quarter. All records are current as of the start of the 2015 season. This list contains all current players and all those players who have played more than 100 games for the club. Also included is the years played and where possible the number worn for the majority of that players career.

Round 2 Match Report

After a bye in Round 1 and a replacement intra club game we were more than ready for Round 1 against UHS-VU at Brens Oval. Two more training sessions of working on our structures meant the only danger coming into the game was an opponent who already had a game under their belt against genuine opposition.…

After  a first round bye after the withdrawal of St Francis Xavier from the VAFA D3 competition the club has had an extra week to work on fitness, the game plan and getting to know all the new players.
