John like many fathers loved to go and watch his son Pat play football for Aquinas. He saw most of Pat’s 180 games, his premierships and was very proud when Pat was made a Life member.
Unlike many parents who watch their sons and daughters play, John always pitched in and did a job, goal umpire, timekeeper or his specialty interchange steward. He always was quick with encouragement and some homespun Irish advice.
