Not the best week for Bloods supporters with 5 losses from 5 games.

Seniors Women 3.3.21 defeated by Monash Blues 5.11.41

A 10 minute burst from the Bloods which saw us kick all 3 of our goals within 5 minutes either side of half time wasn’t enough as we gave up momentum after Laura Weeks kicked our 3rd straight after the main break.

We just weren’t able to generate scores in the back half of the game and will once again rue an opportunity gone begging.

Best players were the skipper Molly Sheehan as well as Courtney Weeks and Baillie De Klijn.

Reserves Women 2.6.18 defeated by Monash Blues 4.2.26

After a bye the week before The Bloods lost none of their effort as we came out and almost beat the Monash Blues.

Starting off on fire unfortunately we just couldn’t take advantage of scoring opportunities, something to keep working on at training.

Best players were Amelia Rees in the ruck and Jenna White and Tara Weeks in the middle.

Senior Men 11.11.77 defeated by Ivanhoe 13.8.86

For the second week in a row it was the 2nd quarter which cost us as we went goalless and gave up 5 to the opposition.

Unfortunately the 26 point deficit at the main break was too big to overcome despite a very promising 2nd half.

That’s now two consecutive single digit losses to quality opponents which shows we are very competitive and will be looking to get back on the winners list this week.

Best players were Matty Aver with 4 goals from the back flank and Josh Clinton and Jacob Costello in the backline.

Reserves Men 6.11.47 defeated by Ivanhoe 8.12.60

After giving up the first 2 goals of the game the margin remained at 2 kicks for the rest of the day and we unfortunately couldn’t pull it back.

Best players were Leon Holewa at CHB and Luke Lattimer and Matt Prouse.

U19s 5.2.32 defeated by St Kevins 17.13.115

An even first quarter as we kicked 2 goals to 3 was about as good as it got as the SKOBs kicked away after 1/4 time.

Harry Flack and Chris De Navi were best on while Paddy Dunne continued his goal kicking form with 2.

Round 8

After 5 away games last week we’re all back at home this week and looking forward to big support as we once again look for 5 wins.
